It is a breakup corrido in the band's rawest register: he was left wrecked, got hooked on the vice, ran off his friends for her, and the hook throws back at her that they had plans to grow old together. Between the Spanish verses there is a bridge sung in English, whiskey at the bar and a guitar that pays the bills, and the track opens with an English line of love and hate in the same breath.
