What is on record is the rollout: on April 19, 2023, JOP posted a TikTok of himself with the chorus snippet, the audio went viral, and he later published a phone number on his socials that played another snippet when dialed, building a month of anticipation before the May 19 release (El Debate and El Siglo de Torreón).

The song's story: "TQM" is a first-person corrido tumbado portrait of a young man's night out. The title flips the affectionate texting acronym "TQM" (te quiero mucho) into a status symbol: people tell him "I love you" when they see the BMW, meaning the affection follows the money and the car. The narrator dresses in designer labels, smokes cherry weed, carries a gold gun with Saint Jude grips, keeps his eyes hidden under a fish-logo cap, and moves through strip clubs where he is known as "El Baby." The chorus has lines the press reads as narco references: he is "partiendo el queso de JGL" (splitting the profits of JGL) and working "consigna de Iván" (on Iván's assignment). The second verse turns romantic and aspirational: partying like a feast, waking up next to a girl, keeping an escape plan ready ("Pa' un imprevisto, que me saquen de aquí"), and name-dropping Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner as the celebrity-couple ideal. The frame is admiration bought by wealth, with danger humming underneath (he is "venadeando," watching his back, the whole time).
