JOP told him not in this genre, and that's how the corrido and EDM crossover happened.
En sus palabrasIn their words
“Tenía a mi compositor ahí mismo, empezamos a tirar flows y nos salió "Harley Quinn".”
Lo dijo en inglés: I had my composer right there and we started spitting some flows and we got "Harley Quinn."

A club-night seduction story told through corrido bélico imagery. The narrator is intoxicated (vodka, pink powder) inside a red-lit club, flirting with a woman who is dangerous, desired, and connected: bodyguards, a concealed pistol, faces covered, patrols in monster trucks. The second verse frames her as both a "fresa" (posh rich girl) and a player in an illicit economy who guards his product with machine guns. The "Harley Quinn" name codes her as reckless, chaotic, and ready for conflict: "Harley Quinn lista pa' guerra."

What is documented: the two artists pitched the track as the centerpiece of their corrido-EDM crossover. Remezcla reported the video's premise (directed by Justice Silvera) as a cinematic partner-in-crime story: JOP riding in a law enforcement vehicle, escaping into another car with his partner, Marshmello in a charro outfit and refereeing a lucha libre ring, the two shooting piñatas together (Remezcla, Dec 15, 2023). Sony Music Latin's promo copy described the collab as "a cultural bridge" fusing regional Mexican music with electronic beats (via Constant Contact press blast). The Songfacts-derived account notes Marshmello described the Sugar Papi album sessions as fast and on-the-spot, which fits the track's spontaneous club energy, but that quote concerns the album process, not this song specifically.
