"GAVILÁN II" es un corrido bélico contado por un pistolero de confianza que ya tiene nombre en la calle. Arranca presentándose antes de contar nada: "Ya me escucharon por ahí", "Mitotes han de sobrar", "No me importa". Tres frases cortas y el personaje queda parado. Después viene la historia, "Un jueves en Culiacán", un día que no suelta, "Cómo se me va a olvidar", y los detalles que le dan época: "Dos Cheyennes traigo atrás", "Vienen escuchando rap". Hasta los que lo escoltan oyen otra cosa; así de mezclada está la generación de Peso Pluma.

Es del disco "Génesis" de Peso Pluma, que salió el 22 de junio de 2023 con Double P Records, y la canta con su primo Tito Double P, que también la escribió. Es la continuación de "El Gavilán" (2022). "Génesis" debutó en el lugar 3 del Billboard 200 y ganó el Grammy al Mejor Álbum de Música Mexicana en 2024.

"GAVILÁN II" is a war corrido told by a trusted gunman who already has a name on the street. He introduces himself before telling anything: "Ya me escucharon por ahí" (you've heard of me around), "Mitotes han de sobrar" (there must be plenty of gossip), "No me importa" (I don't care). Three short lines and the character is standing there. Then the story arrives, "Un jueves en Culiacán" (one Thursday in Culiacán), a day he cannot shake, "Cómo se me va a olvidar" (how could I forget), and the details that date it: "Dos Cheyennes traigo atrás" (two Cheyennes behind me), "Vienen escuchando rap" (they're listening to rap). Even his escort plays something else; that is how mixed Peso Pluma's generation is.

It is from Peso Pluma's album "Génesis", released June 22, 2023 on Double P Records, and he sings it with his cousin Tito Double P, who also wrote it. It is the sequel to "El Gavilán" (2022). "Génesis" debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 and won the 2024 Grammy for Best Música Mexicana Album.

Va en la posición siete de "Génesis", publicado por Double P Records el 22 de junio de 2023. Como cada canción del disco, estrenó visualizer en el canal de Peso Pluma al día siguiente. Para Tito fue de sus primeras apariciones como cantante: venía de debutar ese mismo mes con "Dembow Bélico" junto a Luis R Conriquez y Joel de la P, y en "Génesis" salió en dos canciones, esta y "La People".

Es la segunda parte de "El Gavilán", el sencillo que Peso Pluma sacó en octubre de 2022 con Luis R Conriquez y Tony Aguirre.

It was written by Jesús Roberto Laija García, Tito Double P, and produced by Jesús Iván Leal Reyes "Parka" and Laija himself, per the official visualizer credits. It is track seven on "Génesis", released by Double P Records on June 22, 2023. Like every song on the album, its visualizer premiered on Peso Pluma's channel the next day. For Tito it was one of his first turns as a singer: he had debuted that same month with "Dembow Bélico" alongside Luis R Conriquez and Joel de la P, and on "Génesis" he appeared on two songs, this one and "La People".

Tito Double P was born in Tepic, Nayarit, in 1997 and grew up in Culiacán. He is the songwriter behind many of his cousin's hits: the partnership began in 2021, when Peso Pluma moved to Culiacán to build his project and Tito showed him the songs he already had, "El Belicón" among them. Billboard describes him as one of Peso Pluma's songwriting collaborators, co writer of "PRC" and "Chanel". This song is the moment the songwriter steps up to the mic.
