"Arriba de un Cuaco" is the cabalgata anthem: a rancher who introduces himself as a wanderer, says he comes from Colima, and sings from the saddle, surrounded by his people, with the banda playing until dawn. Between toasts with friends and a love of horses inherited from the parents, the line that anchors the song is the one about his kids as the best gift.

The story behind it is better than the lyric: Uriarte told Cerebros el Podcast that the song was a commission, a huapango a friend from Colima asked for, for Rancho El As. He had never written one, got together with his compadre Eladio Flores and poured his whole story into it. It came out so much his own that to this day people think he is from Colima, when he is from a small ranch near Mazatlán.
On One on One, the label's own series, he says it is the song that identifies him most because it is his way of life, and that he sings it two or three times at every show.
