Es sad sierreño de manual: requinto, voz de muchacho dolido y una historia de despecho contada en orden. Primero la confesión (la amaba, no lo niega), luego el reproche (ella no sentía igual, eso no se perdona), luego el coro que jura no volver a enamorarse y, al final, la venganza chiquita de irse con otra y dejarla en la puerta de su casa. El giro oscuro está en el cuarto verso: el narrador se reconoce como un diablito que ahora busca amor para lastimar, porque así se lo hicieron a él.
Chilango, en su guía del sad sierreño para principiantes, resumió el subgénero con este mismo coro: que suene el requinto mientras cantas "por tu culpa ya ni me quiero enamorar".

It is textbook sad sierreño: requinto guitar, a young hurt voice and a breakup told in order. First the confession (he loved her, he will not deny it), then the reproach (she did not feel the same, that will not be forgiven), then the hook that swears off love, and finally the small revenge of leaving with someone else and dropping her at her door. The dark turn comes in the fourth verse: the narrator calls himself a little devil who now looks for love in order to hurt, because that is what was done to him.
