"Pero qué necesidad" is by Juan Gabriel, the lead single of his album Gracias por esperar (1994), produced by Gustavo Farias. It was his first studio single in six years, after a long fight with his record label. With a pop beat and a gospel tinged choir, it stands up for the freedom to love without explaining yourself: why make such a fuss.
