La escribieron la argentina Claudia Brant, Noel Schajris, de Sin Bandera, y el peruano Gian Marco en casa de Schajris en México, pensando en Paulina porque Gian Marco tenía una reunión con ella esos días; la produjo Cachorro López. Paulina la llamó "un homenaje a mi México lindo, donde además se refleja cómo somos las mujeres en el amor", y a la letra le dijo "picarona". Es un portazo con sombrero: ni rosas ni juguetes pagan su amor, y el galán de feria puede irse a la China en un cohete. Llegó al tercer lugar en España y al noveno del Hot Latin Songs de Billboard.
"Ni rosas ni juguetes" (Neither Roses Nor Toys) is the second single from "Gran City Pop" (2009), released on August 17 that year. Argentine songwriter Claudia Brant, Noel Schajris of Sin Bandera and Peruvian singer Gian Marco wrote it at Schajris' house in Mexico, with Paulina in mind because Gian Marco had a meeting with her that week; Cachorro López produced it. Paulina called it "a tribute to my beautiful Mexico, where it also reflects how we women are in love", and described the lyric as "picarona", cheeky. It is a door slammed in a sombrero: no roses or toys can pay for her love, and the carnival heartthrob can go to China in a rocket. It reached number three in Spain and number nine on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs.
