Cuenta un amor que empezó un 14 de febrero, en un abrazo con el silbato del afilador sonando en la calle, y que terminó con los dos cortándose el corazón con el filo de aquella navaja. Es el segundo tema del compilado Las 30 Cumbias Más Pegadas, número uno del Top Latin Albums de Billboard.
"El Afilador" is a cumbia by Grupo Carabo released in 2000 by Universal Music Mexico on the album Grito En Silencio. Felipe de Jesús Gutiérrez Pérez and David Venegas Frías wrote it. It tells of a love that began on a February 14, in a hug while the knife grinder's whistle sounded in the street, and ended with the two of them cutting each other's hearts with the edge of that same blade. It is the second track on the compilation Las 30 Cumbias Más Pegadas, a number one on Billboard's Top Latin Albums.
