"Me duele amarte" fue el segundo sencillo de "Secuencia", el segundo disco de Reik, el trío de Mexicali que forman Jesús Navarro, Julio Ramírez y Bibi Marín. El álbum salió a finales de 2006 con Sony BMG y lo produjo Kiko Cibrián. Es una balada de despedida en la que él ya sabe que la perdió: le duele imaginar que se va, le duele que ni su sombra vaya a volver, y le duele hasta aquel abril en que la vio por primera vez. Pertenece a la etapa de baladas románticas del grupo, antes de que se pasaran al reguetón y al pop latino.
"Me duele amarte" (It hurts to love you) was the second single from "Secuencia", the second album by Reik, the trio from Mexicali made up of Jesús Navarro, Julio Ramírez and Bibi Marín. The album came out at the end of 2006 on Sony BMG and was produced by Kiko Cibrián. It is a farewell ballad in which he already knows he has lost her: it hurts to imagine her leaving, it hurts that not even her shadow will come back, and it even hurts to remember the April when he first saw her. It belongs to the group's romantic ballad era, before they moved into reggaeton and Latin pop.
