"Tren al sur" es de 1990 y fue el primer sencillo de "Corazones", el disco de Los Prisioneros producido por Gustavo Santaolalla. Jorge González la escribió sobre un viaje real en tren al sur de Chile, recordando a su papá y su infancia, y su base se inspiró en "Touched by the Hand of God" de New Order. Las radios chilenas no la quisieron tocar durante meses, hasta que salió el video. Hoy es una de las canciones más queridas del rock en español.
"Tren al sur" is from 1990 and was the first single from "Corazones", the Los Prisioneros album produced by Gustavo Santaolalla. Jorge González wrote it about a real train trip to southern Chile, remembering his father and his childhood, and its beat was inspired by New Order's "Touched by the Hand of God". Chilean radio refused to play it for months, until the video came out. Today it is one of the most loved songs in Spanish language rock.
