La escribieron César Valle y J. R. Flórez. Fue número uno en México y América Latina, y la canción y su video empujaron las ventas del disco y sonaron durante semanas en radio y televisión. VH1 la incluyó entre las 100 mejores canciones en español de los años 80. Es pop juguetón: ella describe a un galán de verano, con tatuaje marinero y sombrero, que baila el "Noa Noa", y entre broma y broma le pide que le cuente quién hay en su cabeza.
"Cuéntame" was the second single from the album of the same name that Lucero, then billed as Lucerito, released on Melody in 1989, produced by Miguel Blasco and J. R. Flórez. It was written by César Valle and J. R. Flórez. It went to number one in Mexico and Latin America, and the song and its video drove album sales and played for weeks on radio and TV.
