Inténtalo es la canción que sacó al tribal guarachero del Arcoiris, un club de Monterrey donde cuatro mil personas bailaban los domingos, y lo puso en el número 1 de Billboard. 3BallMTY eran tres DJs adolescentes de Monterrey: Erick Rincón, Sheeqo Beat (Sergio Zavala) y DJ Otto (Alberto Presenda), reunidos en 2009. Toy Selectah, ex DJ de Control Machete, los descubrió en un CD de un tianguis, les escribió por MySpace y grabó su primer EP.

El beat nació en Portugal, de gira. Al firmar con Latin Power Music, el sello propuso sumar voces: América Sierra y El Bebeto, recién firmados, cantaron un hook de amor sobre una música que hasta entonces era instrumental. Sheeqo Beat confesó a Remezcla que al principio no querían letras de amor ni salir del underground, y que cambiaron de idea cuando vieron el video sumar 15 mil vistas por hora.
Llegó al número 1 de Hot Latin Songs el 10 de marzo de 2012 y el grupo barrió con nueve Premios Billboard de la Música Mexicana y el Latin Grammy a mejor nuevo artista. Las botas picudas del video venían de Matehuala, San Luis Potosí.
Inténtalo is the song that took tribal guarachero out of Arcoiris, a Monterrey club where four thousand people danced on Sundays, and put it at No. 1 on Billboard. 3BallMTY were three teenage DJs from Monterrey: Erick Rincón, Sheeqo Beat (Sergio Zavala) and DJ Otto (Alberto Presenda), who joined forces in 2009. Toy Selectah, former Control Machete DJ, found them on a flea-market CD, messaged them on MySpace and recorded their first EP.

The beat was born in Portugal, on tour. When they signed to Latin Power Music, the label suggested adding vocalists: América Sierra and El Bebeto, newly signed, sang a love hook over music that until then had been instrumental. Sheeqo Beat told Remezcla they first wanted neither love lyrics nor to leave the underground, and changed their minds when the video hit 15 thousand views an hour.
It reached No. 1 on Hot Latin Songs on March 10, 2012, and the group swept nine Billboard Mexican Music Awards and won the Latin Grammy for best new artist. The pointy boots in the video came from Matehuala, San Luis Potosí.
