"Quiero Amanecer con Alguien" is the title track of Daniela Romo's sixth album, released by EMI at the end of 1989. With that album she changed course: she left the danceable pop of the 1980s for ballads produced by Bebu Silvetti, and it became her first album to reach number 1 on Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart. The song, credited to her under her real surnames, Presmanes Corona, together with Silvetti, was one of the themes of the telenovela "Balada por un amor" (1989 to 1990), in which she starred, and it reached number 2 on Hot Latin Songs. The lyric is a woman's wish to open up to love again, on one condition: that nobody tries to change her.
