The song is a heartbreak ballad from the narrator's point of view: his partner has left him for another man, and he accuses her of betrayal while mourning what they had. He questions whether the new man really loves her ("Míralo bien y dime si a caso él te ama"), floats the possibility she had already been unfaithful ("Que feo saber que acaso ya cruzaste por su cama"), and reverses the frame on her ("¿Cómo te sientes si yo juego la misma jugada?"). His mother is disappointed, he is no longer the boy he was, and his former love traded him for "un wason con intenciones malas" (a guy with bad intentions). He keeps her photo in his wallet, wishes none of this had happened, and closes by contrasting his "oscuro mundo" (dark world) with her life "en tu palacio" (in her palace), before insisting he has survived "grandes batallas" (great battles). Junior H's co-writing and co-artist credit places the track in his "$ad Boyz" heartbreak lineage.
