Jenni murió el 9 de diciembre de 2012 en un accidente aéreo, poco después de un concierto en Monterrey, y la canción se volvió su despedida. En 2016 un holograma suyo la cantó en un evento de Día de Muertos en Los Ángeles, frente a sus padres, hijos y hermanos.
