The bells ringing for the wedding are the same ones that will toll for the one left at the bar.
"En La Barra" is a cantina scene told by a witness: at the bar of an old cantina a man is drinking liquor, the narrator asks if something pains him and he tips back the glass before answering. Then the drunk man takes over: the woman he loves is marrying someone else, may she be happy, such cruel fate. The second verse moves the story to the town's white chapel: the same bells that ring for the wedding will toll for him. Grupo Laberinto, a Sinaloa banda, released it in 2002 as a single on Musart, and it is their most played song, with over 157 million Spotify streams.
