"Lo siento mi amor" la escribieron Manuel Alejandro y Ana Magdalena para Rocío Jurado, que la estrenó en "De ahora en adelante" (1978). En México la versión que se quedó es la de Lupita D'Alessio, en el disco de Orfeón llamado "En concierto", que a pesar del título no tiene nada en vivo. La letra es una mujer que deja a su pareja de frente: ya no siente nada, hay otro amor y prefiere decirlo a seguir fingiendo. En España se leyó como un canto de liberación femenina, y años después entró a "Mentiras: el musical".
"Lo siento mi amor" was written by Manuel Alejandro and Ana Magdalena for Rocío Jurado, who introduced it on "De ahora en adelante" (1978). In Mexico the version that stuck is Lupita D'Alessio's, on the Orfeón album called "En concierto", which despite the title has nothing live on it. The lyric is a woman leaving her partner to his face: she feels nothing anymore, there is another love, and she would rather say it than keep pretending. In Spain it was read as a song of women's liberation, and years later it joined "Mentiras: el musical".
