"Unicornio" is the song about the blue unicorn Silvio Rodríguez lost "yesterday", and one of the best loved songs of Cuban nueva trova. It gave its name to his fifth album, from 1982, where for the first time a full string orchestra surrounds him. It is told like a lost and found notice, with a reward that climbs to a million, but it never says what the unicorn was: a love, a friend, an idea. That ambiguity has made it everyone's. It won the prize for most complete song at the Benny Moré festival.
