Mar y Arena
Ana Gabriel · 1986
"Mar y arena" was the first single from Sagitario, Ana Gabriel's second album, released in 1986. She wrote it herself, and this album established her as a singer-songwriter; according to her former official site it earned two gold records in Colombia. It was recorded with S.U.T.M. musicians at CBS studios in Mexico, with arrangements by K.C. Porter and artistic direction by Eduardo "Lalo" Rodríguez. In the Sagitario era she returned for a second time to the OTI Festival as singer and writer with "A tu lado", which finished fifth. The song is a couple against the world: people say love is blind, but they do not know theirs.
