Tal vez no sepas quién habla".

It is a phone call turned into a song: "¡Hola, bebé! Tal vez no sepas quién habla" (hi, baby, you may not know who's calling). A man who messed up asks her out on Friday to explain himself, kiss her forehead and maybe win her back. It came out in 2008 on El Cantautor del Pueblo and turned Espinoza Paz, until then a songwriter for others, into an artist.

He told the story himself in 2024. He first offered it to Sergio Vega, El Shaka, who turned it down flat: "let some kid record that." Paz decided to record it himself, but nearly left it off the album, convinced that "Mi pequeña manzana" was the strong one. People kept telling him they loved the Friday song, and his friend El Cachoras, from Guamúchil, pushed him even in his dreams. He kept it, and in his words: "I became famous as an artist."
