Dos años después, en Set Me Free (1990), Carr grabó en inglés varias canciones de este disco; esta se volvió "Best of Both Worlds".
"Esos hombres" is the title track of the album Vikki Carr released in 1988, written by Roberto Livi and Bebu Silvetti. Carr, born in El Paso, Texas, to Mexican parents, had already won a Grammy in 1986 for Simplemente mujer and was at the peak of her Spanish-language run. The song speaks for many women at once: men who lie, who leave sure that someone will wait, who treat a partner like property, and who are still hard to give up. Two years later, on Set Me Free (1990), Carr recorded several songs from this album in English; this one became "Best of Both Worlds".
