"Casimira" is the title song of Banda Machos' second album, released in 1992, the same record as "Leña de pirul", "La culebra" and "Un indio quiere llorar". The band was formed in 1990 in Villa Corona, Jalisco, by twelve young men from the town, and it was one of the groups that defined technobanda, with an electric kick drum and toms in place of traditional banda percussion. It was written by Ramiro Pérez Pérez. It is a comic cumbia: the singer arrives at a party, Casimira signals him to dance, and he lists her flaws until he reaches the joke hidden in her name, one eye looking and the other casi mira, almost looking.
