"Está dañada" came out on August 20, 2021 on "Alma vacía", Ivan Cornejo's first album, and he is its only credited writer. In September of that year it went viral on TikTok, became his breakout and reached number 61 on the Billboard Hot 100. It is a sierreño with an indie feel: it is about a young woman so hurt by love that she no longer feels anything, who dances with her friends while it rains inside her. A remix with Jhay Cortez followed in December.
