The official single press release (May 31, 2024) frames "Volver al Futuro" as a ballad in the corrido tumbado style about a relationship in conflict. The narrator is a young man who wants to recover the love and romance that once defined his relationship and carry it into the future to avoid new arguments. He asks his partner for one more chance, blames the fighting on gossip ("chismes") and rumors, and says he pampers her with gifts, outings and his time without understanding why the fights continue. The song's central image is time travel: he wishes he could return to the day they met ("Te mandé un trago, después nos hicimos amigos") so that the fighting never reaches the future. The official video, shot in Palmdale, California and directed by Jesse Terrero, extends this into a story about building a stable, non-toxic relationship.

The year "2033" ("2033, todo se acabó") reads as a playful sci-fi date dropped into the fantasy, not a confirmed biographical detail.
